Much has been written about Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots and a multibillionaire. But many people know very little about Kraft’s wife, Dana Blumberg. The pair apparently started dating in 2017. Since then, they have reportedly kept their relationship’s specifics, such as how and when they originally met, a secret. The pair’s first public appearance together was in 2017 at an Elton John AIDS Foundation event, where Blumberg posed with one of Kraft’s Super Bowl rings. It was unclear how or when the couple originally connected, however. They didn’t even go public with their relationship until 2019. After that, they were seen together at the 2019 French Open and then showed up together at a number of other tournaments during that summer.
Kraft owns many Super Bowl rings of his own, but in early 2022, he proposed to his girlfriend, Dr. Dana Blumberg, by giving her an engagement ring. At the first amfAR Gala Palm Beach event in March of 2022, fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger announced to the crowd that Kraft and Blumberg had just gotten engaged.
The pair recently exchanged vows in a secret wedding ceremony in New York City’s Hall des Lumières on October 14, 2022. Over 200 people attended Kraft and Blumberg’s wedding, although the majority of the guests didn’t know it was to be a wedding event until they arrived. Kraft reportedly summoned a star-studded guest list to a “Kickoff and a Touchdown” celebration. But he successfully kept the fact that he and Blumberg would wed on that day a secret.
A host of A-list guests, including Tom Brady, Jon Bon Jovi, Kenny Chesney, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, and others, attended the surprise wedding. Even up until the last minute, the majority of guests were absolutely caught off guard and were unaware that it was going to be a wedding celebration. One guest commented later, “When we proceeded upstairs. We first believed there to be a party, but as soon as the screen opened, Robert and Dana emerged. When Elton John introduced them as husband and wife, she was wearing a wedding gown. Then Meek Mill composed a song for them, which he performed with Ed Sheeran on backing vocals.”
Who is Dana Blumberg?
Dana Blumberg is reportedly a very private person. She has maintained a very low profile during their courtship and does not use social media. However, some basic facts have come to light about Robert Kraft’s new wife. The most obvious thing to know is that Blumberg is Kraft’s junior by 33 years. Dana Blumberg’s birth year was 1974, while Robert Kraft was born in 1941.
Blumberg graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine with a medical degree in 2000. She is a board-certified ophthalmologist with expertise in glaucoma, eye, and vision care. She was formerly associated with the New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and employed as an associate professor of ophthalmology at Columbia University in New York City. Friends of the pair, however, have been happy to give fans a taste of the romantic story. While celebrating Blumberg and Kraft’s nuptials in October 2022, former Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin and his fiance Camille Fishel offered fans a glimpse at their first date.
Rubin briefly transformed the Olde Heritage Tavern in Lenox, Massachusetts, into “Blumberg’s,” as a wedding present for his dear friend and his new bride. Rubin posted pictures of the rebranded pub on Instagram with the caption. This is the place they had their first date, so had it renamed “BLUMBERG’S.” The bar is given a new logo and décor for the event that included Blumberg and Kraft’s faces.
On her Instagram story, Fishel also posted side-by-side images of the pair. On their first date with friends in August 2017, Blumberg and Kraft can seen in one photo holding up shots; in the other, the newlyweds are shown grinning with the same group the day after their wedding.
