Several industries have benefited from the implementation of GST. The two-wheeler industry is one such industry. Previously, the tax rate was 30%; however, with the performance of GST, the tax rate has been reduced to 28% for two-wheelers with engine capacities of less than 350 cc. The GST rate for two-wheelers with engine capacities greater than 350 ccs is 31%.
Prices for motorcycles with displacements greater than 350cc have also been affected. However, compared to the previous tax system, bike prices have decreased since the implementation of gst on bikes.
Hero HF Deluxe
The ex-showroom price of the Hero HF Deluxe before GST was Rs.42,830 (Delhi). The displacement is 97.2cc, and the tax on the bike has been reduced by 3% to 5%. With the implementation of the GST tax, the new ex-showroom price of the motorcycle was Rs.41,545.
Hero Splendor
The Hero Splendor is a bike with high expectations. It is reasonably priced and can be accommodated by almost any budget. In the national capital, the ex-showroom price is Rs.48,280 before GST. Because the bike’s displacement is 97.2cc, the price was reduced by 3% – 5% and was Rs.46,349 post-GST.
Hero Glamour
The displacement of the Hero Glamour is 124.7cc, and the bike’s ex-showroom price in Delhi was R.56,655. The bike’s price was reduced by 3% to 5% as of July 1, 2017, and the new ex-showroom price was around Rs.54,389.
Hero Passion
Before implementing GST, the bike’s ex-showroom price in Delhi was Rs.52,605, and the displacement was 97.2cc. The Hero Passion falls into this category, and the ex-showroom price after GST was around Rs.49,974.
Honda Dream Yuga
The Honda Dream Yuga has a 124.7cc displacement and a pre-GST ex-showroom price of Rs.51,977. After the introduction of GST, the bike price dropped to around Rs.50,418.
The Honda CB Shine
The Honda CB Shine costs Rs.56,268 and has a displacement of 124.7cc. After the GST, the bike’s new ex-showroom price was around Rs.53,736.
Platina by Bajaj
The Bajaj Platina has a 100cc displacement price of Rs.45,985 ex-showroom. The price has been reduced by 3% to 5%, and the ex-showroom price after GST was around Rs.44,606.
150cc Honda CB Unicorn. The Honda CB Unicorn 150 has a displacement of 149.1cc and a price of Rs.70,503 ex-showroom. The new price is approximately Rs.68,388.
Classic 350 Royal Enfield
The Royal Enfield has a displacement of 346cc and an ex-showroom price of Rs.1,34,919. The ex-showroom price after GST was Rs.1,30,197.
Pulsar by Bajaj
The Bajaj Pulsar is priced at Rs.92,200 and has a displacement of 220cc. The bike’s ex-showroom price was around Rs.88,512 after GST.
